We decided to give our first serviced suites experience at Pan Pacific Beach Road Service Apartment. The fare was much cheaper if we booked the last two days of the new year so we decided to celebrate our last two days in 2018 instead of crossing over to 2019. We paid two nights for S$ 483.37 and I thought it’s pretty worth it.
The location of the apartment is very strategic. We were able to grab our breakfast and food from Haji Lane and walked to Golden Mile Complex for late night Mookata. Bugis junction is also within the proximity, which means it’s possible to walk to the MRT stations. However, I will not choose to stay in this apartment if I’m a tourist since the MRT station is a distance away. I preferred find hotels with MRT station just a stone-throw away for convenience sake.
I can’t remember which floor we were at but I remember it was significally tall enough to oversee the Haji Lane from our apartment. The 1 Bedroom Executive room comes with a living room, one bedroom, one kitchen and a single bathroom.
We spent most of our time in the living room enjoying the TV shows that we loaded from Netflix. The area is big enough to easily accommodate more than 2 adults. However, the coffee table is too small for our plates but I guess it’s not really meant for us to have our dinner.
If you prefer to Netflix in the king-sized bed, you will be delighted to find that there’s a television in the bedroom as well. We didn’t spend much time in the bed since we prefer to enjoy our food and wine in the living room!
The bathroom is located right besides the bedroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom in our 1 Bedroom Executive does not come with any bathtub. I really like their bathroom amentities, which apparently it’s their own branding!
We really appreciate the presence of the kitchen as we can start cooking our favourite dishes to end 2018. The kitchen comes with an oven (+microwave function) and a table top induction cooker.
Nowadays, it’s common to see hotels equipped with Nespresso. It’s notable that the first three capsules are complimentary but thereafter the refills are payable. I suggest to bring your own capsules if you have some at home!
The serviced suites provide free breakfast on the weekends in their lounge. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try since we went on a weekend. Then again, I think we would rather cook our own breakfast since we have access to the kitchen. Anyway, you can get free coffee/tea in their lounge whole day.
During the day, we walked to the Haji Lane to try the famous prawn noodles. If you are feeling for a dessert, you can visit other stores along the alley.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the apartment during the last two nights of 2018. This might be our go-to staycation location in the future since we really like the room!
